So what are you fixing this weekend?

Got the new cb and antenna installed today, a bit daunting with the weather and the fact I was cutting a one inch hole in the roof to mount it, but seems to be working just fine, now I just need to find an swr meter to get it all tuned up. Tomorrow change the oil and check the fluid in the rear diff... looks like the nosecone seal is leaking a titch.

Cutting holes in the roof?!?

Do you have any pics of your install? Im installing a CB soon, but I like to see how others did it as well.

I'll be getting everything ripped out of the new Jeep, like there is much left! :D I am going to have to swap the passenger seat to the driver side for the time being, That thing is worked! Might adjust the front pass. door hinge too when he cut the hinges he put one hinge on a little farther out that normal so if it rains hard water leaks in . Luckily no carpet and the floor on that side is solid.

Getting ready to pull the YJ in the garage again. Last time I checked all the fluids, discovered no brake fluid in the rear brake reservoir, so I did new wheel cylinders, lines, shoes and hardware.

I'll check the front brakes, do an oil change and tune up, probably find more crap wrong with it...

bought the kid a jeep power wheel for Xmas, to night or tomorow night i have to put that togeather

we just got done swapping in an 8.25 and new rear drive shaft into Vinces rig and we also wired up his CB...should be good to go for a while now...

i cannot thank you enough man for helping me out with all that yesterday and getting me that driveshaft. it drives like NEW its like i love driving it again :loveu: haha. im gonna go get some atf fluid today for it, and maybe some stop leak (for trannys?) and hopefully it will slow down the tranny leak enough for me to get my hands on a new'er line.

again, thank you and your family for havin me over for a good time!

any time man, glad we could help. I just woke up about 10 minutes ago :D

Which line is leaking? Hard lines to trans cooler? Cut out the bad section and replace with rubber hose. Don't put stopleak in your trans, that crap is nasty and probably won't solve a leaking line. That is more geared towards leaking seals.

haha same here, at one point last night i was almost about to stop and sleep in the car. those backroads are tough to navigate when you cant see through the fog haha.

and i believe its the line from the radiator to the tranny. its the actual fitting into the trans thats rusted and leaking real bad. we checked the fluid and it was bone dry.

im in arizona visiting my mother and sis. and while im spending my lovely vacation in az i also have to bleed the clutch, and diagnose abt a billion electrical problems on moms xj. she just got a 96` 2wd 5sp 2dr 4.0 rust free. she pretty much got it for free.

ill be installing assuie rear locker im getting for christmas and rewiring cb with my new whip and wires.

trying to figure out where i have a slow oil leak from. :(

Just replaced my first u-joint in an axle shaft. Not too bad, really. Now let's just hope it all stays together when I get the shaft back in the heep, lol.

wiring up some new 220 outlets in the shop...no more extension cords for me! Also thinking about installing a false/suspended ceiling in the shop to keep the heat and A/C a bit more reasonable to operate throughout the year.

Sweet!

How much faster are those than an XJ?

I mean we can all read wikipedia and find stats, I want a good ole fashioned race.

Its fast :gee: Ill be adding some "better mpg" stuff to it soon to. Magna flow high flow cat and muffler and thicker plug wires.

I need to replace my broken front shaft and rear shaft. Or just get the money together to buy the stuff I need to do my 8.8 swap (gears, locker, perches, brakes). But I dought any of it will get done this weekend. It will probably get put off until the last minute before Winterfest as usual...lol
