Date... how about Saturday, March 31? Can't do it before winterfest, too busy putting rigs together. Need at least a few weeks after winterfest to fix carnage, spend time with families. Plus, I don't know if I can handle seeing some of you guys more than once a month!:gee:

Effingham wouldn't be too bad of a haul for you, be about 80 miles, all on 57. How's that April 7th date sound to you?

Effingham is good for me. April 7th is a long way off, I'll have to write it down so I don't forget. I just got the 31's that i bought from RedXJ put on last night, big improvement over the p225's. Now I just gotta figure out a way to get new exhaust manifold, muffler, front bumper, winch, roof rack,and trim the front fenders.

I was kind of wanting to get some new faces in our bunch. You guys that have been around for awhile suck, I'm ready for some fresh meat. :jester:
Maybe some stocker guys that don't feel capable of wheeling with us, or feel like they'll hold us up with a strap all day, somebody that lurks all the time and never speaks up or........you know stuff like that. Just a get together where they can get to know us and put a face with a screen name, and encourage them to join up, yada yada yada. I don't really care about location, just as long as there is intrest and people will attend. I'm not commiting to attend myself until a location and date are set.

I'd do a meet and greet kinda deal.... effingham would be a haul cause i'm prob further south than most. I'd like to talk about doing some wheelin close to this area with you guys.. how about a buffalo wild wings or like a show me's or something? ...you guys too old for that? ha..

Sounds like E'ham is the most central location so far. TGIFriday's is about as wild as it gets in E'ham too. I've heard good things about the bowling alley though. There's LoneStar, Ruby Tuesday's, Pizza Hut a really kick ass Mexican place called El' Ranchorito too. Verrrry Good.
C'dale to E'ham would be about 2 1/2 hours I'm guessing. Be great if you could make it!

i'd drive to c'dale too. i'm really wanting to check out the rigs that you guys that have been around a while drive to get ideas and ask questions. i'm not very experienced with working on vehicles (i'm a carpenter turned high school shop teacher) but i'm not unwilling to learn. i have very basic mechanic tools, a sawz-all, and an angle grinder. if any of you guys would want to take an afternoon to show a non-member(i'm going to remedy that very soon) noob the XJ ropes, i'd be willing to bring some beverages. coon season is almost over and fishing season is a ways off so i'll have time to kill. PM me if anybody might be interested. i live in greenville IL, not too far from effingham.

They've got slabs of beef don't they? Or, Lonestar is just down the road 1/4 mile. Eat at LS and then head to the bowling alley to hang out? Either is good for me.


I was thinking lunch and be home that evening. Would you guys rather do lunch or dinner. Remember, some will have a goodways to drive home.
