a mini-skid on the lca mount or tieing the shock mount into the tube would probably have prevented that.

I got to race at the Thermal race track today courtesy of a buddy I play hockey with. Got to drive the shit out of the BMW M line and had a blast! The race track is a country club but instead of a golf course they have a few tracks and you have to be a millionaire to be a member obviously.

Club house has gas pumps outside of it with 91/100 octane @ $5/$10 a gallon
Here are the M3s, my fav of all the cars we got to drive
You already know Im the fastest one on
, but I was also the fastest one at the track and have the time sheet to prove it. Pay no attention to the DNF (cause I didn't stop in the box) and the DQ (cause I was trying a new technique on my last lap and hit a few cones) 
After talking to the others after we got done racing I found out that they paid $300 a person to be out there. Which I replied, I got passes from a friend, I just came for the free lunch.

Yeah... they've been around... 25 yrs. or so... for some reason I want to say they're mostly out (or were) of Palm Spr. but I don't know where I got that from.
I knew a few members in the 90s from L.Q... never wheeled with the club, but a member every now & then...

I have wheeled with them a few times. I did a Dale Mine, SAR jambo, and a bunch of 29 Palms and JV trails with them. Great bunch of guys and girls. Probably one of the best clubs in the desert area. They are not as hardcore as the Victor Valley club but they have some great runs.

Anybody remember this thing from the 90s-00s? It's been in the Palm Desert/Yucca Valley area since brand new. Bought it from the 1st/2nd owner in the mid 00's with all paperwork. Have modded it a bit since these pics, but this is what it looked like when we got it.

I seem to remember an XJ with the Hi-Lift on the front bumper... but I know I've seen a few others as well... I can't say with certainty that THIS XJ was the one...
