Just put it on, seems to work... I've had this thing sitting in my jeep for months now I bought it from boostamante. :D
 
you need longer bolts if the material is thicker than the stock cover - the stock bolts only engage about 3/16" with the stock cover. I put a guard on mine and stripped 2 of the bolts because I tried to cheap out and not get new ones.

yours are probably threaded metric, but my 95 was 5/16ths fine thread. Pull one of the top ones out (that way it won't leak and you wont break the seal) and go to the hardware store, get new ones that are at least 3/16" to 1/4" longer - however thick the cover is at the mounting point is how much longer you need. If the holes are countersunk though you might be able to get away with the stock bolts. Like scott I can't be bothered with all that fancypants crap like blingy covers and magic plug wires :D
 
It's already installed mike the stock bolts with the cover had about 4-5 threads showing I used ultra black too just for a solid tight fit! :) will replace the bolts later when I have more days off

He drives... 2/2.5 miles ?? to work... he could pull the cover & make it with a dry diff. for months...
Seriously Tone I bet that True Value (??) has just what you'd need... while I haven't been in there in maybe 35 years... usually the rural places are more meat & taters...
