So Cal desert rats

Well yesterday was rear brakes on the F-1... went WAY better than I was hoping :thumbup:
Today was the "starter issue" so I pulled & cleaned the elect. connections... no go... so I pulled them again to R&R the starter... well into it I look over to see that the top adj. bolt in the N.S. switch is... GONE !! WTF !!! Well no bolt so off to ACE I go... guessing at size & length. Come back I guessed right !... bolt the almost removed starter BACK in & clock the N.S.S. a few different ways and no luck. So back to the starter... OUT it comes & I'm troubleshooting a few different ways and from what I can tell it's O.K. so 5 hours more jacking around and TRYING to make sense of WIRES(something I shouldn't be involved in), plugs, continuity, ohms & voltage... I come back to this... the pict. quality is low, but needless to say... there shouldn't be any blue. :thumbdn::thumbdn:

So I make it look like this....

And after I make a few more mistakes it's back together... I cross my fingers and it lights... well AFTER I jump it... and a couple adjustments to the N.S.S. and it's lighting up in Park & Neutral... FINALLY !
Fix was a few $... time was all day... what a waste of a day. Why can't it be the obvious with me... the usual suspect ?

I just cleaned it early this year... I'm blaming the bog fest at Salt Cr. while on the flower run...

This trip... (I still need to fix this too)

Each month I come closer to realizing that TIME is more valuable then the $$$ saved... now if I could find someone I trust.
All this just goes to show that if I'm involved... quadruple the time...

O.K. I'm done :rattle: therapy babel is over...

What can I spray on the leaf bushings to quiet their ass down? All I hear is squeak squeek in the back

I wanna do something with my exhaust too from hitting the leafs I just don't wanna pull a Paul and melt bushings! :D

Yeah, I remember when You went submarine. Someone has to have an old piece of exhaust pipe laying around.

Glad to hear you got her going..I take it your getting ready for winter? Give us a heads up and the wife and i will try to make it..

Yep... season is... 3 weeks away... too bad I have to work most of the major wheeling weekends this fall... at least I'm employed...
