Anyone here in the low dez have a beam type torque wrench I can borrow? These ring bolts are left hand threads, and I don't know for sure My dial torque wrench is calibrated for left handed operation. Thanks.

Hmmmm... doesn't look like mine has a reversible head...

HOLY CHIT what a night.1:20, doyou know where the dents are in your jeep?I do.LOL.Had a great time guys. Thanks for coming by and running around tonite.BIG thanks to JEFF for taking over to the trail you and your buddys found.GET TIME.

Been busy lots of things on my plate this month... Curt when can I pick my trailer up? :) Scott sorry about the BBQ I had to go to long beach to get my gma which is why I missed :( saw Ryan the other day and he wanted to race so I blew the doors off his slow srt8! :D Paul call me if you need a hand, working tomorrow 2-10. Still haven't got my steering issue fixed but hopefully with my hard driving whatever it is will break then I can know what it is for sure and get it taken care of!

I couldn't stand it, so I got up with the sun and finished the e-brake and hydraulics. I just need a few more of the stock e-brake cable springs, should be a few laying around at a bone yard.

Cables are run behind the axle and then curve back, that way when the axle drops it won't be hanging from the cables. Like it did before. E-brake works great, we'll see how it works on a hill.:viking:

Cables are back forward of the axle, springs corralled them. Without the rear brakes out of adjustment, I get a great pedal. The e-brake handle travels less to engage the e-b... I blocked the ring gears and shoulder on the carrier. Just need the rg-bolts and I can finish...Now what am I forgetting...I know there was something...It'll come to Me. :spin1: I'm going to hell.:flame: lol

I knew of which you referred... I believe SOME click type torque wrenches have heads that are reversible... I was hoping mine was...

Curt

Ah, got Ya. Mine reverses, I just don't know if it functions properly in reverse.

Mine "reverses" to go counter clock wise/loosen... but I guess on some models you can take the ratcheting head out and it can be removed & flipped ?
Or something like that so it can be used in a CCW way to torque that way.
You have any paper work for yours ?? Maybe it does...

Curt

Paul I have a beam type torque wrench that you are looking for! I live in Indio on 48th close to Monroe if you want to use you are welcome to it! Bill

Paul spring or click type dont care what way you go

I was reading up on it last eve. and not all are set up to torque in reverse... and if they are their accuracy might be further out than it is when going C.W.
Maybe the point is moot... just what I was reading... which is probably better taken with a grain of salt...
I guess some of the newer digital ones don't care which direction...

Could just be that the older stuff doesn't go C.C.W. and newer does...

I think Paul wants to do everything in his power to get them where they're supposed to be so he doesn't have everyone looking at his exposed rearend again... :laugh3:

Looks like Bill has one...
