Dammit Billy, put that D30 and short arms back under, pull the driveshaft, and go in 2WD. You're locked out back, right? :twak:

I've got a seat if you want it. Troy, are you still in?

Yeah, I'm still in for Saturday. Where do you want to meet? The MCd's off of Hazel & 50? Do you know know the trail & how to get to it? I haven't done that trail yet. Anyone else want to join Phil & me (Troy)? I don't know how many of you guys where at Winter Fun Fest recently, but we should be able to hit a lot of snow this weekend. I'm going to bring my wife or Jason, the previous owner of my xj, along as well.

I could bring my trail book along if no one knows how to get to the trail we had selected. I also have a good California road atlas so we should be able to find the trail.

I don't even know which trail we want to go to, and I don't think I would know where it was anyway. I'm going to try to get a passenger, but short of a major mechanical failure, I'll be there anyway, passenger or not. How about that McD's around 8-8:30?

Come on, I can outwheel anybody with stock gears on 35s! There is nowhere you can go that I cannot! Prove me wrong! Well, they were going to pay azxjman's gas to get to JV, I thought it might work to get people on a run up here.

Sounds good Phil. I'll bring my trail book & atlas. We can always go to Prairie City for a bit too if you want, but we should probably get a good jump on the trail, so I'll see you between 8 and 8:30 next Saturday the 7th at Mcd's. The Pony Express trail is really easy and it is around Ice House Road on the way to the con, it also isn't that long of a trail and is just a loop off of 50 and comes back to 50 closer to Tahoe. My trail book has 250 trails in Northern Cal so we'll find 1 or 2 we feel comfortable with this time of year. My Brother-in-law has a new hemi powered ram and might want to join us if that's o.k. He handled Prairie City really well, I was surprised what he was able to do in that thing.

Hey Phil, can you Pm me your phone#? Hopefully your cell so we can get in touch if either of us is running late or cannot make it at the last minute? I can give you mine as well. I'm not sure if you got my Pm's, I was having problems with it. thanks...Troy

Is your brother in law going to come too?

Is that your cell phone? My cell# is (916)396-8841. I looked through my trail book and found the Malakoff Diggins trail (listed as Bowman Lake trail) that we did on the last naxja gathering. All the other trails I saw in the book were for dry weather, but the Bowman Lake trail is year round and regarded as a 2 on a 10 scale. I figure this is good enough because we don't know how much snow we will encounter, but I think there will be alot. I will bring my atlas as well so we don't get lost. The trail book is very precise and has exact mileage and coordinates. I'm not sure if my brother-in-law is coming yet, but we should be fine the 2 of us if that's all that can make it. We should meet somewhere along I-80 towards Citrus Heights (greenback exit off of I-80). I have a Sam's Club membership and could get you some cheap gas before we head out the trail. They should be open that time, or there are some Arco gas stations on the exit that have lower prices. Let me know what you want to do. Let's shoot to meet up around 8:30 & then gas up and head for the trail. It starts right in Nevada City, CA so we need to drive a bit to get to the trailhead. Talk to you later...Troy

Yeah, that's my cell. Sam's Club would work for me, I'm always looking for cheaper gas. A diffuculty of just 2 should be fine, the snow should be fun. 8:30 then?
