What is this trail rated???

I have a 3" lifted Grand Cherokee with 31" all-terrain tires. It has a rear hitch and rear tow hook, but I don't yet have any front tow hooks. I'll try to get them on for the run. My xj is a totally stock Se model, so I'd like to wheel the grand. What do you guys think. I really want to join you. I have wheeled this jeep before and can keep up with 4" lifted yj's, it is pretty capable. Please advise.
thanks...Troy

does anyone know the snow conditions?? are we going to have to b looking for snow?

also i built mine is coming with his rig!

stoney

Troy, you could bring either rig. This isn't a trail but Forest Service/County roads. There probably isn't much snow up there (6 to 12 inches).

I can't stress this enough: Bring fire wood.

As of right now here in Kingvale, there is 8" of the white stuff, all powder = good traction. The storm is coming in to-nite should be very cold but not leave much on the ground. It will be great. I unfortunately must stay here and plow the stuff, so I'm going to have to miss the meet.:(

Meet at the Horseshoe Bar park and ride @ 8:00am, leave @ 8:30. Go east out of Sacramento on I-80 to Loomis and take the Horseshoe Bar exit, then turn left at the stop sign.
Once we get a head count, I'll rent the cabins. This could also be a day trip for those who don't want to stick around.

 Great run, I had a lot of fun. It's probably easier to have fun when you're stock, though, but I don't know yet. When's the next run? :D
Anyone get pictures?

I sure want to thank you guys for letting Paul, Krik (aka Mr. Chevy) and me and Jesse for "hanging" with the group. Im glad we were able to find snow for ya! "Crazy" if you will PM me with a snail mail address I will send you a disc with all the photos I took. The group shots are great! When you get the disc, you can pick and choose which ones you want to post. I'll burn the disc tonite and can put in the mail tomorrow.
Again, Thanks to Kevin, and all you NAXJA folks for making a "homeboy" feel welcome.
Now about turning my desert run into a NAXJA event......;) :anon:

I posted what pictures I have here:

Unfortunately the white balance was set to Tungsten for most (oops) so they are a little blue :(

We had a great time Thanks to all!

So if we want to help out with the WFF what do we need to do? It looks like all the Sunday trails are pretty easy so no real special equipment needed?

Great pics '51.
Picture those trails with 3-6 feet of snow.
For WFF, go to the Cal 4 Wheel web page www.cal4wheel.com and click on events, then go to the WFF page and download/print out the entree form. Make sure you write "Sunday trail crew" at the top and include the appropriate funds.
PM me if ya need more info.

Basalt, did you ever get the disc I sent? I hope I sent it to the right address.............

Nope. I don't recall ever talking about you sending me a disk. Maybe it was someone else?

Thanks Lee, sorry Jason. With this current work schedule (midnite to noon) I dont even know what day it is. Jas. are we gonna get together soon, or are you booked until after the holidays?

BTW I know this is short notice but anyone looking to buy a good XJ, there is a GSA auction in GV the 4th,.There are many 2 and 4 door late model XJs all newer than 95, with HO motors and low miles (Forest Service) up for auction. I will be bidding on a wrecked one. (cheap) For more info call me 530-559-3082.
