whos down for a snow run on saturday 3/20?
either sly park, ice house to airport flats area, or the 193 into uncle toms cabin. im down for any of the three...
anyone else got any ideas or know how sly park is looking compared to uncle toms or cie house area?
How about the weekend after? That weekend is the one I have planned for building my new Jeep because I have access to a shop. If it were the next weekend I'd definitely be down to go for a shakedown run. Any place closer to SJ though?
Is there a good trail or off road park near the SJ area? I'd be willing to try something out in that direction and meet up with a bunch of you guys near the Bay area.
There's Hollister but as far as I know that's about it. I've gotten kind of tired of it because that's the only place I've ever been and you pretty much see it all the first time. What's the closest (to SJ) trail in the Sierras that would make a good snow run? I think most everything is up by you guys east of Sacramento.
I would totally be down but I just finished my Electric Fan Conversion and the radiator I thought was working turn out to finally kick the bucket. Still waiting for the new 3 core to show up..
fresno is too far i for me....im supposedly writing my masters thesis at CSUS this semester and taking two additional masters courses , that being said, with work, my plate is full, but i always make time for jeep related activities .... but fresno is too far for me right now, sly park is probably the closest snow run to bay unless someone else has a closer idea? sly is like 45 mins closer than airport flats, maybe even closer
i think the closeness of the snow runs are what makes them doable in one day....
im not sure about the weekend after, maybe we go for a fourth snow run in like 6 weeks?
Hey, good job on the master's, Jon. My master's has paid for itself a few times over, so keep at it and get that thing done.
Do we have a list of popular snow/mud/rock trail runs throughout the Sierra Chapter someplace? I keep learning of new runs, with Bald that Tommyboy spoke of being a new one to me.

Im down for trying the weekend after also. I 2 have work to be done on my Jeep that will hopefully be going down the weekend of the 20th. But I only have sundays off. I always go snow wheelin on sundays and it definately seems like the day to go. I usually go to sly park but I heard some rumors that they might close it down or even just start fining people for going off the main roads. (which is never a big deal, the main roads are usually completeley covered by 6inches anyways)
