snow plow needs heavier springs

Okay everyone, I have just purchased a western snow plow for the front of my xj. The problem that I am having, is that with it raised the front end of my xj squats down causing the mount to bottom out on railroad tracks and speed bumps. My jeep is 100 percent stock, I have noticed that there are a few companies that make aftermarket heavy duty springs for the front, but none of them say how much stiffer they are over stock. Can anyone give me any suggestions before I just "guess" and potentially wind up with something that is still like the stock springs?

you could go the cheap route and pick up some early F150 springs from the JY.. they give normal jeeps a much stiffer ride and about 3 inches of lift
i suppose you could cut them down with a grinder to approximately the size of your stock springs and have "heavy duty" springs for around 30 bucks

I'm going to throw in the obligatory "be careful when plowing with an XJ" comment. That said, Bronco or F150 springs are a possibility or you could use the coil spring isolators that give about an inch of lift each...

Hey thanks guys, I do know, I have read some good horror storys about plowing with xj's. I didn't think about getting springs from a donor vehicle. Has this been done before? Are they the same size diameter?

V8 ZJ springs, CL lift springs?
