So plans have changes for the weekend of the 28th and 29th.

Instead of niagra rim we plan on running DV and SR

31s+ sliders and diff covers highly recommended :))

We have a couple built rigs going so spottin lesser built rigs through is ok
Weather up there has been nice with 72-80 in the day and 40- 55 at night
Prepare accordingly!

Tere is some incredible scenery and big beautiful lakes to fog and swim in. I will be bring a kayak or inflatable raft and trout gear

60% chance I'll make it. When are you guys heading in?

friday the 27th after work. pending whenever i get off work.

Is this doable without sliders? If so I think I just might make myself go to this....what is the worst that could happen without sliders? ( btw I'm on 31's and 2" lift)

I would say it is do-able with some body damage and getting stuck here and there depending on how much you have wheeled that rig with the 2" and 31s on a trail like SR or DV (medium trails) and know it in and out and know that with that setup you will be flooring it quite often since you don't have clearance, gearing, locking differentials, or skid protection/sliders, but you have to have tow points front and rear and legitimate tow points at that.

We are also trying to do SR, DV and BC in a very short period of time(saturday?) in a short weekend so we are setting minimum requirements to keep a fast pace even if they are easy trails. If I had like a 5 day weekend and we were only doing like one trail a day at a slow pace, id say sure do whatever you want.

Front and rear Tow points are a must.
33s minimum
at least one locker.
good running jeep
adequate tools and spare parts including a jack among other things.
Or a friend to sign off and baby sit you as they keep a strap on their rig all day and strap you off everything and patiently wait in front of you on every single easy obstacle that you get stuck on.
(you don't need lockers or 33s to get through these trails, but we don't want to be stuck on every single obstacle for an hour at a time)

So in conclusion:
At the very least show up. you can get into camp and hang out - thats a given- its a great place to camp, you can probably even ride with someone in their rig. Camp at the north or the south is easy to get into with a stock rig. I consider a 2" BB and 31s a stocker. and you you can get roaring drunk with us until 2am around the campfire and listen to some good classic rock and then wake up super early and wheel all day.

SR, DV, aaaaand BC would make for a pretty long day. I kinda like the sound of it though

well, I figure a Day run on saturday at DV, a night run on SR either friday or saturday, and only fit boards crossing in there if we can on one of the days or nights, or sunday on the way home.
I guess ideally it would be SR friday night
DV saturday day
SR sat evening
boards on the way home sunday

Ok I think I may try to show up just to see what obstacles are out there. Seeing as I don't have any legit tow points and have a 2.5 with open front and rear and no skids I think I now know a few things to get to prep to do this trails. Body damage doesn't concern me but unibody damage I would like to avoid

Slick rock has definitely gotten a little more difficult since last year, lots of big holders on the trail, unless someone has winched them out of the way, and the ladder is all dug out between the boulders.

Deft em just go and check out the trail. You will have fun regardless. Park at camp. Slot of local dicks on buggies keep winching massive boulders in the trail. Totally fubar . I might have room to can possibly ride with me . If we decide to take all day we can get
You through slick rock . Show up. It'll be a blast

The rocks have been moved. All but one

Douche buggya from Arnold

I might be up in the area that weekend. May or may not run the trail. Family camping with non wheelers. Might have to do night run.. Keep you posted!

just head up. it'll be fun. there is a really good chance we will take it much slower than I think we will and we can probably at the very least run you through SR probably and boards crossing 100% so it'll be fun. the more I think about it, the more I am thinking 1 trail a day with nightly night runs on SR and try to squeeze in some lake/creek swimming and fishing and stuff.

90% chance I will not make it
