Oh yeah turns out my clutch prob was my bellhousing bolt fell out. So I figured that out after I had the tranny half way tore out. Oh well at least it was a cheap fix.

Well atleast it was cheap!!! :)

Well after the water holes my alternator stopped working. So I picked up a used one from Troy. Anyway went to go change it decided to try something before I did took the Voltage regulator connector off and hosed it down with silicone spray now it works. See how long it works. Something you guys might wanna try if you loose power to the battery. So now I have a spare just in case.

I thought they closed the mud pits a year or two ago?
Half the battle to keep the trails open is with our own people not understanding trail responsibility. I know everyone came out of it unharmed and ok, but that wasn’t the smartest thing to pull off at the location it happened at. We are loosing more and more trails in CO. and all over the U.S. 4wheeling is going to be a thing of the past and just have stories to talk about.
You might see it as just a little tip over and it was funny and no one got hurt, but that’s just more proof for them to close a trail here or there then we over wheel the few that are open and then those are closed. The Odds just aren’t in our favor at this point and it’s only getting worse. Keep in mind you don’t represent just your self in what you do out there on the trails as you do a greater group of people. I’ve been stopped coming off a trail being accused of doing something that wasn’t me. It took a while for the officer to understand that he was confusing my group of guys with a group that was still up on the trail. Take it some guy calls in a report that a red lifted truck was cutting people off on the road and driving all crazy. They pull you over even though it wasn’t you. Your truck being red and lifted and that’s the only details they got about it puts you as the person doing the crime. Sure you can argue it and take it to court that it wasn’t you but think of the time and effort you would have to put into it to clear your name. Well we have people with stay the trail that are doing the same thing to keep our name clean and to help keep the trails open. Every little thing is a lot of make up work for them. Were just loosing ground here guys in battle to keep our trails open.

My vote is to close this thread. It’s not a beneficial or a positive enforcement of responsible 4wheeling community here in CO.

Yeah, one thing people lose sight of pretty easily is that it isn't so much your actions, or how safe YOU may feel they are. It's how others perceive your actions.

This really sucks too because there are a lot of things that really should be OK but because they look bad in they eyes of others who will use anything they can to exploit us and our sport.

Sometimes it's better just to save face and not do something even if you think it should be OK.

Think like an eco-terrorist and how they would feel about what you do because they are the loudest voice and you know the story of the squeaky wheel.

Actually, I'll have to disagree with ya there - this thread is a GREAT representation of what the majority of Colorado NAXJA folks believe their responsibilities are in regards to 'wheeling our trails (Prairie Chickens and bellhousing bolts aside :D). It appears that one poster disagrees with the majority...... I'd like to think we're all doing our part to help open his eyes on the subject. Maybe he'll chill out, look at the bigger picture and 'wheel responsibly with the rest of us???? Or, he'll go somewhere else and continue to 'wheel without a clue.

I'd rather have him on our side.

All I see is people not giving it up!!! I have kept my mouth closed, but this is getting out of hand.... It happened, we learned from it. What else has to be said? Flexed it out until it wouldnt flex anymore, kept going and it flopped!! I understand and will not do anything of that nature again. But what about the TARD comment, what if someone on this forum had someone in the family of special needs?? WE COULD GET ON TO THAT TOPIC IF YOU WOULD LIKE?

I agree with 91 Jeep Project & Yellaheep on this one!! The odds are againt us and trails are lost all the time because of foolish stunts!! I love to wheel and would like to do so for many more years! I will not wheel with ANYONE that gives this sport or organization a bad name! :NAXJA:

Don't get all bunched up over the fact that many of us here disagree with your intentional flop. Lesson learned!! The comment was made because what you did was stupid. Do not let it bother ya, happens all the time around here. With that said...WELCOME to the group of misfits!!:peace:

Location of the roll was the bad. If it was on Private land would have been no big deal. Yella was saying we should see about setting something up at C.O.R.E. Get some cars to crawl over that would be fun. http://www.coloradooffroadextreme.com/
Yella is right about having trails closed. They closed one in Iowa that was near where I lived. Because of stuff like this. We don't need anymore closed. I want my kids to be able to wheel them someday.

Yeah, well bald people in Norway would probably be offended by your user name... we could go back an forth on the semantics forever.

You were being mature about the issue before..... you're gonna stir the pot now? Relax. Just live with the fact that you made an unpopular decision while 'wheeling with a NAXJA group and got called on it.

When you 'wheel with one of our groups again - don't make the same decision. No big deal. :wave1:

With all that said. Im going bold and all my family is straight off the boat from norway!:viking: Im just over the topic, ":conceited please!!" Who wants to go wheelin??

LMAO!!! Are you still having those dreams? What room number was that?!?!?!

Sounds like it'd make bad-ass art work for the hood.

You know seriously, we can beating the horse all we want but the thing is already dead. Its done, it happened, we apologised for any misconception, and we explained our ability and intention to keep the land from being harmed. Nothing bad did happen to either those involved or mother nature. It won't happen again.

Now, on to wheeling. This weekend Rampart, next weekend Eagle Rock.

It was either room #3 or 4. No dreams but we still get a chuckle out of it now and then. I just wish I would have had the forsight to get pictures.
