Skyjacker 6" Value Flex System

Skyjacker front subframe kit is a nice kit. I have one and have installed 2 others.

Go with:
Skyjacker Subframe
Skyjacker Arms
Skyjacker Coils
Teraflex or Currie rod ends
SJ Drop Pitman
SJ Brake lines
RE 5.5 Springs
RE Boomerang shackles
RE Extremee Duty Trac bar & bracket
Add a SYE as needed

Just doin some searching and couldn't beleive the amount of 6" and up lift kits available! Treks, Full Traction, BDS, RC, RE, etc.
Couldn't figure out how to get the 7.5" kit from RE. Special Order?
Looks like I've got a while before I make any final decisions.

Thanks for your response jeepster! Are you running this kit or know of anyone that is? It will be a Daily Driver/MallCrawler 98% of the time and see some small trails and mud, little to no rocks.

dude buy the rough country, send me all the extra money you would have spent on skyjacker or Rubicon Express, and have a nice day. If you aren't really into offroading then don't spend all that money on a lift that is so excessively expensive. A good inexpensive rough country lift is built strong enough for what you want to do in my opinion.

i know people who run skyjacker lifts and they r great. u could even save money and get a lower quality kit, like rough country, but ur ride will suffer on the road. i personally have a re lift and the ride quality was greatly improved over stock on the road. skyjacker will give u a good ride on the road too.

I am in no way implying that I'm not into off-roading, just where I live there is really no where that I can legally wheel without driving across the state to Rausch Creek. However recently I got wind that a guy in the next "town" over is looking to purchase 1500 acres to add to his 6400 he has now just to open a Off Road Park. I'm sure if there was something like this around here I would be more into off roading. So until then, why not build a highly capable rig the way I want it now so I dont end up going with it in the future anyways?

Good reason not to buy the Skycrapper kit.

If you are stuck on a 6" kit,Id say TNT,Fulltraction,Rockkrawler,Clayton,BDS,etc!

Theres just so many choices and all appear to be "excellent kits" and that is why I am posting on here for opinions on quality kits. I am definitly set on a 6" kit possibly 7" at most. And I really like the idea of a new subframe

why are there 3" kits held so highly?
Where? From a magazine or TV show, not in the "Real" world !
For any "Mall-crawler" or maybe the IFS rigs where there are only "X" options.

Is it just the XJ kits that are crap? or all jeeps? I know a guy who ran nothin but Skyjacker on every truck he owned Dodge Ford Chevy and wouldnt buy anything else.

Clayton and T&T kits are the two I would look at, Ive seen both of them in action and run the Clayton long arms myself

The are more of a lift my full size show truck company than a jeep(I actually wheel) company.

The only reason why I say the 3" kits are held highly is because I have never heard anything bad about them. Is it because no one runs them or just too many bad past experiences with them?

Thats pretty close, the unibody rigs dont take well to designs that are just there to look pretty. If you want your suspension to flex and not destroy your rig,you need to look for a company that specializes in them.Thats why there are so many (good)Jeep/XJ only companies out there!
PS: to post 39(Both) A friend of mine had the kit you have been refering to about 7yrs ago.He removed it about a year later.Another friend did one of there YJ kits and is still kickin himself in the ass for that mistake.
