Covers and fully protects your Engine and Trans and exhaust. Keeps you from getting hung up on your T-case crossmember. Will work on stock height or lifted height. No more fear of a punched oil pan or a ripped off trans pan. 3/16" Retails for $319. I bought this one used from Andy Steiner and paid $100 and that is what I want for it. Made for an XJ with 4.0 motor, allows oil drain thru pan. This one has seen battle and has been victorious. Really strong and well made. This one has scratches from rock use. Designed for the 4.0 both manual and automatic, but will fit V-6 and 4 cylinder but hole is not lined up for draining oil. I am in the Pasadena, Ca area.

Great deal very tempting.

does installing this skid require the factory crossmember and lower control arms? The site says something about mounting it to the lower control arm bolts and crossmember.

I was told that I could use it with my longarms etc. My suggestion would be to call Skidrow to be sure. they are very good about customer service. It looks like it would mount without any problem on mine with longarms, 8" lift etc.

As to having a factory crossmember, that is a good question for Skidrow

ok thanks Ill give them a call and find out.

I have had a few PMs on this asking if it will fit a V-6. YES, but the hole for the oil drain has to be moved there. Seriously, just make a new drain hole or drop the skid plate to change oil on your V-6. Drain hole is in correct location for all 4.0 motors

Sale fell thru. Still Have it. Still a deal! Price it new!

How far back does it cover? It says it smoothes the underside of the trans crossmember. Does it cover the crossmember? If so, I'll take it.

Go to the Skidrow website to check it out. It covers engine and trans back. I will line it up tomorrow and see if it goes to the crossmember or over it.

The skidplate bolts to the crossmember and covers about 1-2" of the crossmember leaving room for your t-case skid plate to cover the rest of the crossmember. It is designed to butt against most brands or overlap.

ONE OF THE small MOUNT BRACKETS IS PARTIALLY MISSING. IT ATTACHES TO THE TOP OF THE ANGLE IRON BRACKET ON THE FRONT SIDE. IT CAN BE FABBED at a muffler shop, or bought from Skidrow direct.

ALL MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS ARE ON LINE. THE SKIDPLATE SELLS NOW FOR $319.

Skidrow has designed it so it does not hit your exhaust.
