I know there is a group headed to Left Hand on saturday. They are planning on meeting at the trailhead at 10 am. I also need to get out and wheel

I haven't been to Moab since before I could drive. I can picture most of it in my head still. I've done Slickrock on motorcycles and mountain bikes. I can remember both of the camp grounds right there.. The one with the red sand, and the one with all the trees down the road. I remember all the collared lizards and stuff in all the sand pits. Is that yummy Mexica restaurant still right there in town? I've never been there as an adult planning to do some four wheeling. The plan is to get a little bit better acquainted before the trip in October for the 30th.
In lieu of my trip to Moab next weekend would LHC be any fun on a dirt bike? I don't wanna end up not going to Moab because of a broken rig. This vacation turned from a two week road trip to Washington and down the pacific coast highway, Redwood National Forst and back through Vegas and Moab and Grand Junction and all that fun stuff.. To a one week shorter version.. to a 4 day/long weekend trip to Moab. I'd be a little upset with myself if I had to use that little vacation fund to fix the XJ.
