As many of us have been, I've been working to find a good set of silicone hoses for my XJ. I might have a solution and want to know what the interest would be for others.

Would anyone be interested in this item if it were less than $270.00/set? I don't have an exact price yet, but I know the price is out of reach for many of us. I have an opportunity and might be able to sell at a lower price.

Are you interested?

^ X2... rubber hoses (original as far as I can tell) have been working for me for 19 years, and cost maybe 30 bucks for a pair. I can buy 9 sets of rubber hoses for the same price as those, and the only set of hoses I've ever replaced were because of damage caused by an engine hoist chain, not because they wore out naturally.

$270 for 2 fairly short pieces of hose?
Whatever you're smoking... you need to share man.

I just replaced mine a year ago with stock rubber ones. Under $40. They were stock (22 years old) as far as I could tell and had not cracked or leaked yet.

I like the IDEA of high quality parts made with the best materials, but these do not seem practical at all. Maybe if someone made a show truck out of an XJ- but who would do that?

Bentley Radiator Hose Kits are designed to fit specific vehicles. Call for OEM and Distributor Pricing.

Looks like it comes with a Bentley price as well....

I always HATE it when people pile on--no way hose-A!

I don't get it. What's the point in paying 9 times as much for some hoses that are made of silicone? It's not like our rubber hoses are poorly engineered.

My vote is a big fat.... NO!!!!

I was actually thinking about this after I saw them in some muscle car, then saw my mom bake cupcakes in a silicone cupcake mold!

But you can get Goodyear hoses from rockauto for like 12 bucks apiece! Then put the $250 you saved into some really sweet lights!

Double post, NAXJA always gets slow around..... 4 AM! time to sleep...

yeah it's pretty awesome stuff, I've soldered directly on high temp silicone (not the crappy silicone/latex or silicone/acrylic stuff) without damaging anything.

Still not worth $270 though, I can get a whole new engine and transmission AND radiator hoses for that :scared:

I would pay double the cost of normal rubber hoses easy but not 9 times the cost.

Those hoses wouldn't be so expensive if they still had to use saline in breast implants!
