I was thinking it would be fun to do the Secret Santa thing within the Sierra Chapter this year. Another board I'm on does it every year and it is a lot of fun (as long as nobody flakes).
I'm sure OSHA would help out with the pairings since I would want to participate (the person pairing can't give/receive). Everybody will email her their screen name, real name, address, and a couple ideas for gifts. The fun part is searching your buddy's posts to get ideas for gifts that will be a surprise. I'm thinking a $20 minimum ($30 recommended) would work out well. Everyone is welcome to spend more if they want.
If we could get a bunch of us together for a big meet and greet/holiday party to open presents it would probably be a blast, but we could always break it up by region and/or ship remaining gifts.
One thing I'm hoping for input on is who would be allowed to participate. When somebody signs up and then doesn't follow through, it messes everything up. What do you guys think about opening it up to Supporting Members OR users that registered before 6/1/09?
So... who's interested?
