side trim...removal?

I also just did this along with taking off my fugly gold pin stripping and gold emblems. I bought a heat gun for $16 bucks and used goof off. It work very well and without a heat gun it would take FOREVER. I did not buy an eraser attachment as I could not find one, but I would imagine that a heat gun and that would be you best/fastest way to take it off.

There is no screw holes, just double sided tape (at least on my 93).

ok for the heat gun method - do you just heat the tape through the plastic? or do you try to pull the plastic back and direct the heat between the sheet metal and the plastic? I plan on taking mine of and herculining, so i dont care much about the paint underneath.

Heat the top piece so you can grab it with some plyers, then keep the heat on it while you pull the plastic off, should come easy. that's the easy part. The crap that is left underneath can take a while to get off, but just keep it hot and use goof-off and disposable rags along side the heat. Make sure you use a new rag pretty frequently as the glue will just make its way back to the car.
