doesnt matter what mounts, a 7100 is roughly a 2.0" bore shock... go checkout full size rigs to check if any of them get away with a single 2.0 shock offroad....

If I use anything to tow the XJ, I'd probably get a crew cab civilian truck of the same vintage. Not sure I want to experiment with the Blazer's short wheelbase and lesser brakes/axles towing a 6000lb trailer...

One of the things I like about the 6.2 is it being fully mechanical, no electronics, etc. So if I did a Cummins swap, it'd have to be an early 12V, before they got fancy.

I've always liked the idea of a GM 3+3 dually with a Cummins in it.
At this point, any older full size with a Cummins.
