shops

WFO is an awesome, pretty small shop, between Auburn and Grass Valley. They do pretty much everything and have great prices. It's just two brothers, they've had the shop open for a year, and have been working solely on a word-of-mouth basis; no advertising. They're not much of a retail place, and don't stock much at all, but they can get whatever you want with good prices, and can make anything. They do mostly gear installs, custom axles, custom suspensions, cages, drivetrain swaps, etc.

they're still working on the website: http://www.wfoconcepts.com/

What are you looking for. Northern California has a whole bunch of 4x4 shops, it depends what you need/want.

What about basic stuff, like straps?

My strap was on the floor of the cab, attached to my receiver shackle, which is gone now, too. And my extra was in my toolbox.

4wheelparts, Vatozone, Tractor Supply.... you can go pretty much anywhere for straps, tow hooks, etc. just be sure to get a strap with looped ends, not hooks. for recovery shackles, get them at a decent hardware store, same thing as at 4x4 shops but without rediculous markup.
