shock length for re 5.5

i am running re 5.5 extreme duty with drop brackets on my 92 with 33's. i am still running the same shocks from a smaller lift and am thinking about billstein 5150's and i was wondering what lenght and travel shock you guys with this lift are using. thanks in advance for any help

There is only one way to get the right length shocks, and that is to measure it yourself. Find someplace close to home where you can flex it up. Remove shocks, flex it fully, and measure the extended and compressed lengths to your shock mounts. That is the only way to insure that you are buying the correct length shock for how you are set up. If you keep a record of your measurements you'll have something to compare to as you make other adjustments to your suspension.

Not saying that it isn't usefull to find what others are doing, but you have no way of knowing that what they have is what you have.

What kind of shock mounting do you want to use?I run the same springs since my lift from RE4.5",I am still running the longest "factory mount" shocks Rancho makes(9255/9256).They are a little short now so Im going to add BPE's front/rear and move the front stems down,that should be perfect(btw:I have already moved the rear lower mounts up).
