I have an ad on CL. I'm picking up some new tires this week, kevlars 35's. If you have your own wheels/tires you want to use instead of mine, LMK and we can negotiate price to reflect the different. The rig runs/wheels great. its a little twitchy on the freeway with the steering ram, but you get used to it. i have a near stabilizer if the new owner wants to remove it. I've done a whole lot of work to it this past year so its a damn reliable vehicle. I have driven it to big bear numerous times, the desert etc without fail. Only things it really needs is a new temp gauge/sender, headliner and trans pan seal. AW4 shifts great, starts up right away every time, NP231 works great, both axles recently serviced, new seals etc. up front. No, I won't part it out

$6K. sorry, price is in the CL ad. Price is negotiable depending on tire/wheel package. I need to pick up new tires and was going to pick up some Kevlars this weekend, but can pull them if new owner wants to run their own and drop the price.

the rig is really solid. I'm not in a rush to sell, dont need to sell...just picking up a truck this weekend as a dailiy so its going to do a lot of sitting. plus i want/need to build a dedicated rock buggy before i mangle the body on this thing...or cut the top off and cage lol

I hope you have better luck than me. I have had my 87 for sale for a month. Was asking 4500.has 6 inch lift 4.56 locker high steer and a whole lot more.and had a whinch. I've hsd lots of text question s. 1 offer of 3500.. I've been told Cherokee isn't worth more than 4k if it is older than 91. I've been told its over built. Etc etc

Yea, i know. its crazy. they're not popular like a wrangler. i'm not what some call, a "motivated seller", so i really dont care if it doesnt sell. Picked up an F250 4X4 extended cab w/460 this weekend so I have a tow rig/daily driver. Unless someone buys the cherocar in the next couple months its going to be seeing a sawzall lol

GLWS i know you said you wont part out but thats probably where you'll find people interested in parchasing anything over the whole rig. But i get it ;)

i dont get why you need to sawzall it? you can run much harder trails than you do right now with little to no body damage. get your gears and lockers, wheel for a bit, then revisit it if you still aren't happy.
I for one love having a full bodied jeep. heat? check. a/c? check. wind protection? check. streetability? check.

its going to be a trail only rig. i had to have 2 guys hanging off my rock rails multiple times on teh last run i did to keep from smashing my entire drivers then passenger side in tight canyons, and that wasnt the first time. i'm talking a 1/4" away from epic failure. plus the lack of a REAL cage or any frame, etc..its lame dude. its getting cut up and turned into a big boy Jeep. AC? long gone. Heat? barely worked anyways. im not a fan of full bodied. to each their own Dan :)

my truck has AC.. ;)

ill keep that in mind :) i'll take off all the doors, headliner etc nicely and create a FS thread. I'm hoping to start late summer, early fall. hopefully sooner if this wedding doesnt consume to much/all of my time...

The good:

• Front axle seals replaced, both axles have new oil (HP D30, Chryco 8.25)

• New stereo
• New speakers
• New fuel pump

The Bad:
• Transmission leaks a bit of fluid, not bad. . .

The carpet has been pulled out, body sanded down to remove all rust, primered and sprayed flat black. I still have the carpet, its set aside and can go back in easily. I will sell the rig with gallon can of rhino liner if the new owner wants it. I have a spare set of doors in maroon as well as a spare steering gear box and 2 pittman arms. There's a picture with the grill not on, but its there. I had just installed the winch and was in a hurry to get out to the desert.
