Hey guys I'm looking at a school in Lima,OH UNOH. Ive already toured the school and I really like it, but its 8 hours from home and Im very unfamiliar with the area. Is there any of you guys up there that may be able to give me a hand in learning my way around. Having someone to wrench with and talk about Jeep stuff is a very big factor in my choice of schools.:wave1:

Jason and the Empire guys aren't far from there and Nate and Jennie are pretty close too.

hmmm, let's see. Lima.

they have the 4wheel jamboree out at the county fairgrounds in the spring.

and that's about it. I have some friends that teach at a local school over that way.

It's your average small rural Ohio town. I'm about an hour and a half from there. Columbus isn't much different.

Findlay is 30 minutes north and has some stuff to do. Toledo is probably an hour north and has some neat stuff.

Dayton is about an hour south, aside from the big earthern Indian stuff I would avoid Dayton, it's turned into a hole in the last 10 years.

THere is no wheeling in OH.

DISLIKE but the school as an offroad course behind it, along with an autocross track, and a drag car launch pad. Thanks Nate for all the info. I feel like I will be doing some traveling once I get up there.

Lima is less than an hour from Fort Wayne, IN?

mac 'just down the road' gyvr

So you're coming to WF, right? :D

yeah im coming to WF even if I dont go to unoh.

I did forget that, I knew someone that went there and they do have their own little spot.

yeah its nothin to phone home about but its a cool little place to play around.

There are a few wheeling spots in ohio but are not regulated or are invite only. Lost valley in SW ohio looks amazing but I have never wheeled it. Oak Tree in Wellsville and heiney farms can be very difficult (the ultimate adventure wheeled there) but I wouldn't suggest going on a holiday because like I said it is not regulated so people can and do get stupid out there (think of the VWs in harlan). Sean and I (jason) are in pleasantville which is prob 2+ hours SE. If you are ever bored and want to drive down you are more then welcome

I avoid Wellsville at all costs.

Not only is the legality questionable, I refuse to be around a bunch of idiots on quads and dirtbikes that are drunk.

It was definitly the kind of place where a cooler full of beer was the norm on the trails.

Yep. That's normal for a holiday weekend there. Go any other weekend and it usually empty. JeepSkool is up near cleveland but all there stuff is easy or mud from what I hear and have seen in pics and vids. The guy that's runs jeepskool is kinda a dbag too but UA also wheeled there

But some of the stuff in wellsville put badlands and even mission impossible to shame.

Also, badlands in IN, Rock and Valleys in MI, Black Mountain in harlan KY, redbird in IN, and Roush creek in PA are all about a 6 hour drive away

Oh cool well hopefully ill have a tow rig soon. So it wont be as bad on long hauls like that. But even if I dont get to bring my jeep up there I will be driving the 2 door.

everything is a 6 hour drive for me.

except Harlan, it's farther. Took us 9 hours to get to the crawl.
