Step father just decided to lower the price on his 1999 XJ. $1250! Exterior is in pretty nice shape, the interior carpet is trashed and the rest could use a cleaning. I think it's a perfect trail rig.

4.56s, locked F/R with a Super 35 kit in the rear.
Says gearless Detroit in the front (TruTrac???) and Soft locker in the rear.

It'd do fine. The only reason I said great project rig is because the interior is kind of messed up. The carpet needs replacing and the interior overall would need a good cleaning. I still DD my jeep and I like to keep a nice interior on it. I probably have a little higher standards than most for a DD.

Thanks, I'm not picky on the interior. That's an easy fix.
It's just in most of the CL XJs I've lookied at the mention of trail rig has meant that it's basically ragged out and is better suited off highway.

What's up with the rear? Did it have some weight in it when the pic was taken or are the spring shot?
If you'd rather I get the details from the owner let me know and I'll quit bugging you.
