SE Chapter Elections

Okay Nominations for the SE Chapter BOD will start on Nov. 1st. and Voting will start on Nov. 15

There are 5 positions open

President
Vice President
Treasurer
Recorder
Director at Large

All nominees must have been a member for at least a year at the time they will take office. Meaning Jan 1st 2007

You must obtain permission from the nominee before nomination and all nominations

must be seconded.

We will use this thread for discussion and on Wed. I will post a nomiation thread.
 
Can we get a list of who has those positions now, and if they can be re-elected this time?
 
We had 2 that resigned...and since there is not really a lot going on..we decided to wait till now to replace...

I want to First Thank those that have served in this last term and those in the terms before that.

There seems to be a lot more interest in the Chapter NOW and maybe we can get the SE a lot more active.

I would like to see more runs...maybe with a every other month or quarterly meetings...

I know a small group do the trail clean ups at Uwharrie...we need more of that and we need to get more people involved in making OUR Crawl event better.

Explore more of the offroad parks that are in our area..and maybe if we do it right have a big Spring and Fall runs..
 
Kinda a stupid question, but what is required for each position? What duties would each position be required to do?
 
On the First Question..Yes if there are enough that would like to see me run again I will...I have lots of things that I want to do with the chapter and since I am not running for a National position again I will be focusing my time into the chapter.


The real jobs with the Chapter BOD are with the Recorder who should have some writing skills or can get people to write things for the newsletter...and keep the Chapter informed of stuff going on..

Treasurer will hopfully at some point have a bank account to put money in so we can use it how we feel...donations, other projects, have chapter merchandise on hand, etc

Pres and VP should try to keep interst going and keep the projects going and such

Director at Large...I use that term cause this person can have many titles just depending on who runs for the office...They could be Events, Public Relations, Land Use etc.
 
no number of events required to attend or anything like that?
 
No Sir...Just a drive to want to get this chapter fired up again...
 
I'd love to help out, but like I eluded, I don't have a ton of time outside of work to do much and the time I have isn't predictible, meaning I don't know when I'll have days off and usually can't ask for them. But like I said, I'd like to help out where I can.
 
Is the term one year? Or more? I would like to get involved but I'm a little busy building business/home/etc...next year I should be established and settled enough to focus time toward other things
