Scarry Rock Racing Vid

Just reading on another forum...said he won't wear his harness tight and when he came back down his head hit his steering wheel...bent the wheel and cracked his helmet.
Lucky he didn't kill someone. I guess one guy got ran over but didn't get hurt too bad.

what an idiot. for big comps they really should use killswitches like on monster trucks, its just to easy for things to get out of hand

That was a hell of an impact!! Thank god nobody was seriously hurt. He is lucky to be alive. I bet he tightens that harness just a little after that.:)

Funny you say that.. I was just snooping around UROCS fourm site. The argument is going two ways...One is the fact that the guys competing don't make any money doing so and the remote interupters would cost each team about 1100 bucks. The other side of the argument is the fact that the competeters are geting tired of these man made obsticals that are impossable to do without going at it full throttle. Since the man made courses have come about they have gotten more vertical and less technical.

If I was competing I wouldn't want to have to fork out the money. At the same time...I wouldn't wanna kill someone either.

Never liked the idea of man made courses to begin with, I'll drive the 3 hours to Cedar City to watch, before I would even think about driving 20 minutes to RMR to watch.

holy crap! After coming back down, hitting that first rig looks like it hurt the most.

From a spectator standpoint the man made courses are lots better. Better seating, better viewing, better access to food and drink.

I think the courses could be set up better too. To maximize on what these new buggies are capable of. They just need to not make it so dangerous for the competeters.

On the other hand....this guy was on a totaly optional line that he didn't need to do also.

wow. I just yelled "OH SHIIT" Twice in a row for completely different reasons.
