Look into Irmo, SC if you don't mind a small commute. Nice "suburb", although it has it's own small town vibe.

i called some dude in Irmo . he told me to call him tomorrow to see if the room is still available..

keep it coming!

I told my wife, (who graduated from USC in Columbia) that the only way I was moving from Charleston to Columbia was if we lived on the lake... Lake Murray up there on the Lexington side is friggin beautiful.

Needless to say, we moved to Europe instead, but I would love to have a place on Murray.

Per family that lives down there- The harbison area is a good place to look for apartments.

Getting from 26 to 20 is a nightmare. You are going to be working on the East side IIRC. Look over by Leesburg Rd and Garners Ferry if you are near the base. I have some family that lives over there. When CAroline was at USC she rented a nice place in that area too. I don't recall the name of it though.

If you like space and things a bit more on the quiet side see if you can find something in Gilbert, just outside Lexington and about 20 min from Columbia.

The PoPo in Lexington are everywhere, make sure your rig is legal.

Nope. You should be fine as long as you put the current tag in place.
