Howdy folks, names Tim and I am the proud owner of a Patriot blue '01 four door sport named TAZ. Just got her back in March and have added a few things but being "Married with children" means I don't even have a budget.

Added so far:
New stock springs mounted on Iron Man relocate brackets via Zone 1" lift shackles giving me about 4" of lift. Used the rear sway bar mounts for BPE's but have home made BPE's (No binding) waiting to go in. Still need a new brake line and wanting to do a Hack and tap.

Up front I have 1 3/4" zone spacers (kind of looks like a Pro Street XJ) and the ZJ tie rod assembly upgrade. Plans for a long arm kit are in the works, just need the funds.

Doorless mod on the fronts but yet to do the rear.

Some other fun stuff I have done/made for her but pics are better than words, eh?

Bumper is a work in progress, I will plate the top section and then add headlight guards. I also have the stock bumper that I cut to fit the center section, just to give it some of the stock look (like the look, hate the tin foil). Both bumpers and the light bar were made from scrap steel I had laying around.

Anyway, I'm hoping to find a few XJ'ers somewhat close to share some trails with and maybe a few cold ones. Of course learning and sharing info about the XJ is a given.

Welcome to the forum. You'll find like minded folks around here in good numbers. And some of us aren't too far away from you, either.

Thanks! I'm sure I will, there is two or three running around here but even getting a wave is next to impossible. Not only that but most folks around here just play in the mud, being from Colorado I'm more at home on the rocks.

Welcome...The wife and I sure love the UP and the Iron Mountain area.....

Oh, thank God! I was worried we had a real yupper on our hands, der hey.

Nope, just a transplant. Mom's side of the family is from here and we bought the old family farm when grandma died. Sure enjoy it here though.

Thanks for the warm welcome! :sunshine:

Welcome! Nice looking XJ!

Now you will have to worry about Rev coming up and humping your leg.
Welcome to the group

 No worries, I bet my dogs and my Rooster will get to him first. The dogs just to lick him to death and rooster to do his job. :smootch:

And seanR, venison of course!

Wheeler is a troll.

I get up there a bunch, I normally up in Marquette though way north of Iron Mountain.

Rev

Nice area around Marquette, get up there from time to time.

Not the internet type troll, (except on proud), but yes, I live below the bridge.

Fore 'boo' Wheeler

The few folks I do know around here are from the lower part of the state, just nobody from the UP. lol

So I have spent countless hours reading thread after thread. I am just in awe of all the info to be had. I must say to that y'all are a great bunch of folks as well, I can see some great times ahead on the trails and and around the camp fire. I need to pay off a exhaust system and then will be working on a membership.

So ya, I'm going to be here for awhile. My door is always open to friendly folks as is my garage and tool box. Hope you like dogs, kids and chickens.
