ok well i was wondering, ive been reading alot of XJ_randers posts about the track bars. currently have a Rocky road adj. track bar and i HATE it, it pops all the time and im sick of the popping and various noises coming from turning. i want to convert my end to the rustys bushing end in the HD bracket, ive read alot of the posts about this and found that the Rustys bushing end should fit into my RRO track bar. they are both 11/16 threads, therefore it should fit. my question is that when reading these posts, i noticed that people have said that rustys bushing end will LIMIT flex ? is this true ? i dont see how it is in my head, im not saying their wrong , just the axle moves up and down right ? well if one side of the axle goes down how could this bushing end LIMIT flex ? wouldnt the track bar just rotate around the bushing bolt ? please let me know how because i dont want to get it if it limits flex.

Specs... 6 inch lift. 4.5 coils 2 " spacer, RE CA drop brackets. RE lower FIXED. STOCK uppers . disconeects. RRO track bar. please help me guys and i thank you in advance

I run the RRO trac bar with no issues.

If you are getting popping, it sounds like you have loose bolt at the axle or more likely, loose bolts on the frame mount. Check these before you buy a new one.

If you're looking to buy a new one and don't mind spending, get the JKS or RE. That's the way I would have went if I didn't get such a great deal on a used RRO bar. But, I haven't had any trouble with it yet.

i know but i have a 6 inch lift and i feel that the TRE is kind of crappy for my set up, i want something more STIFF. sort of like the BUshing end. thats why i want to know about the limited flex thing.

the bushing end won't limit flex -- you'll get more travel out of it than you will the TRE that came with the trackbar. I doubt you'd notice any additional wheel travel, but the bushing won't bind up a TRE will.

Technically though, as the axle/wheel moves up and down, it will swing forward and backward slightly (how much depends on the control arm setup). This fore/aft movement can bind the poly bushing on the Hd trackbar, but with yoursetup this shouldn't be an issue.

Rusty's HD conversion kit will fit your RRO trackbar just fine -- last I checked, RRO was simply rebadging Rusty's trackbars anyway, so it's all the same stuff.

i had an RE1600 trackbar with the heim joint, i was also sick of all the popping and banging, i just sucked it up and got the RE HD trackbar and frame bracket, and i must say, it was money well spent, i should have done it in the first place!

but with rustys HD kit, wont my track bar no longer be parallel to my tie rod therefor giving me BUmpsteer ?

no, contrary to popular belief, neither RE's nor Rusty's HD trackbars lower the upper pivot point any vs stock.

Anyone got a cheap stock trackbar bracket for me? Just after a LHD one for a project I am working on. Will pay the postage via USPS to me.
