Rusty's flex flares-rubber gasket?

Here's a few quick pictures of mine. Keep in mind, I didn't use the gasket, these are not the flexable ones (because they weren't made back then) but i'm almost positive they use the same molds to make both, And i've had them on for almost 8 years now.

Hey what size tire is that? Looks like a 33 x 12.5. Nice jeep btw.

Hey guys, the Rusty's flares are actually Gorilla warflares, they were origionally made to replace the old plastic ones on the 70's Brronco's. You can get them for cheaper if you look around the net under the name I called them.. I found them 5-6 yrs ago, after i seen another XJ with them, and I asked the guy where he got them... just lookin out for your pocket..

I knew it! After seeing an old bronco on the cover of Petersen's 4x4, I thought they looked just like the Rusty's flares.

DanNjeep- They're actually 35 12.50 15 they look smaller cause it was dusk when i took the pictures and there were rain clouds moving in too, and my dinky little camera's flash can't replace the sun lol. But Thanks for the complament, I'm very happy with my jeep. :)

i dont know. wide enough to stuff 35 12.50's no prob

OK the rear Flares are done. I fabbed these qtr panel "boxes" years ago. We took off about 4" of the qtr panel then boxed them in on 3 sides. The boxes rivet on to the body, they work really well. So anyways these boxes needed to be cut back and refabbed because I didn't want them under the flare. Overall the fit and finish were excellent imo. Some of the pics show us starting on the front, I have a Safari Snorkel so that will pose it's own set of problems!

Take a look - http://www.flickr.com/photos/38727926@N03/

Looks good man! And good luck figuring out your snorkel prob too. Oh, and i like your tires. ;)

I knew someone was going to ask that! Backspacing is listed on Americas Tire's website as 19mm (these wheels are the "MB 72"). Can someone translate that? In the real world compared to my 33 x 10.5 BFG AT on the stock aloy wheel the aftermarket wheel with the 19mm bs and the 33 x 12.5 KM2 is about an inch further away from the leaf spring. In other words, the stock combo was about a .5" away from the leaf spring and the aftermarket wheel/tire is about 1.5". As soon as I get all four (budget you know, just have the spare for now) KM2 I'll post pics again.

Haha, I was wondering why there was a KM2 in only one picture.

Your wheel offset is 19mm, meaning the wheel mounting face is 19mm off of the center of the wheel. If your wheel is 8" wide, your backspacing is around 4.75" (assuming the 19mm is positive). Most people with that tire size run around a 4" BS (meaning the wheel/tire sticks farther out of the fender than yours). This could make a difference in the front with the tires either clearing or rubbing on lots of stuff.

OK - we took forever but they're finally done. I had some particulars like Snorkel, Qtr Panel plates, etc. that most don't have to deal with.

I promised I would post pics so here you go -

Currently I'm running 33 x 10.5 BFG AT with a 33 x 12.5 KM2 spare. Hopefully next month the KM2's will be all around. There are some pics with the KM2 mounted as well.

BTW- I originaly intended to somehow modify the stock inner fender (plastic) but I ended up using a painted pool tube floaty thingy. I simply painted it black and shoved it up there in the gap btw the outer fender and the body (thx naxja!)

The package says they're from Australia. If that helps.

I just replaced my broken pass rear flare. It came with black rivets, but the other three had unpainted rivets. Looks like I'll be breaking out the paint and cotton swabs.
Here's the label:

Actually, one piece is used for both passenger and driver side.
