Rusty Floorpans

I just got my first XJ this week. It's a 4 door 96 sport. There's all sorts of nasty rust especially in the trunk region. The frame is going to get sleeved with square steel but the trunk pans are holy. Im hard pressed for money(working with pretty much nothing). For materials I can get corrugated steel, license plates, and street signs. Will these work?I know the corrugated steel sounds goofy but what works and is free is what I gotta do. I know people use street signs and licence plates for this kind of stuff, could I do a whole trunk pan like that? Would it be better to replace the whole pan or patch the sections?

Check out Classic to Current, body parts, they list what your looking for. I used the cargo replacement in my 96 several years ago.
