yea jeeper creepers defanitly cancled my order also, they said they had a typo and it wasnt supposed to be that cheap. Arnt, they supposed to honor the prices they post.?

If we could, we would. We do state in our "Conditions of Use" that we reserve the right to cancel orders if there is a pricing error, but nobody reads them.

They are not active in the Better Business Bureau. I wonder why, hmmm maybe because they are shady. I lodged a complaint against them through the BBB probably to no avail but hopefully they will get the message.

DON'T BUY FROM JEEPERZ-CREEPERZ

I ordered the steering set up from them for the $120 shipped and all was fine and dandy until today when THEY CANCELED MY ORDER.

Don't buy from these assholes again as they would not honor the price and canceled my order with out telling me. I had to call and ask why my order was no longer on my order history on their site. Spread the word on these non customer friendly cut throat business practices.

Who's the asshole? The guy trying to earn a living or the guy trying to take advantage of him?

Emails were sent that the orders were being cancelled.

I received no such email about my order being canceled. I have experience in retail business and if a product was mis-priced you could tell the customer its mis-priced and at the register but you had to honor the marked price, cut your losses on that purchase, and then change the price on the floor. You absolutely could not cancel the transaction after it had already taken place. We also had the customer is always right policy and a code of ethics that we followed.

Its a lot harder to be an asshole to customers face to face then over the internet.

From your website
# If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

I received no such contact for instructions or notification of cancellation.

Looks like you missed the "discretion" part.

You used the word first....

Email is Electronic Mail, thus I cannot hand deliver it. It was sent but I cannot control the delivery.

No, our "discretion" was to cancel the order and send you notification.

I cannot control email delivery. I'm sorry you didn't receive it, I really wish you had, although I don't think the outcome would be any different, do you?

Let's get this back on track.

Randy, how do you like yours so far?

No such Email recieved. I did however recieve an order confirmation Email. Maybe the 2nd Email was lost by the post office.

but at the same time I had to honor my prices and deal with my mistakes when I owned a business.

I guess each business owner has a different view of his customers. You must not need steady customers as much as I did. I know that when I made mistakes and underbid jobs I tried to make it right in some way. Some of my best repeat customer relationships were started that way. Mabey they liked my "funny math."

Post office? Silly, it's delivered through the internet (the ole "reliable" internet). :laugh2:

Underbidding a job is a little different than having electrons go haywire and screwing up some prices. We have had a set price for months and all of a sudden something happened with this months update. It's impossible to check each and every price to see if it's correct, which is why we have the pricing disclaimer.

When you underbid a job did you just eat the difference all the time or did you try to get more from the customer?

My reference to funny math is because someone (it may not have been you) asked if we would be willing to ship it for $120 since we wouldn't sell it at the $119.95 (shipped). That's a far cry from meeting someone half-way.

I'd be willing to work something out with you, if we could. These are currently out of stock and I'm not sure when we're expecting any more in (probably at least 30 days). PM me if you're interested, otherwise I can only offer you my apologies.

Yet the company caught it that you were trying to take advantage of them and put a stop to it....

I wasent trying to take advantage of anybody!!! I was told by a member on NAGCA that he got the kit from you. so I looked you up and bought it. I had no Idea what it went for or who else sold it. I am man enough to split the diffrence with you. so you wount feel taken by me. I did'nt meen to screw anybody. and Im a honest person that works hard for his money. just want to make it right in your eyes.

I paid 120.00

I also ordered it, and received no email except that of confirmation. I think you need to check your 'notification' system when you cancel orders. It would have been nice to know. I would have waited - and waited - and waited, expecting it to be on backorder, which I was not advised either.

This was the first time I was to do business with Jeeperz Creeperz. Not too impressed...

Actually, you're the one that we learned of the price error on, and we did honor the price. It was also the last one we had in stock. I didn't notice the price error until it was already shipped and I was doing the paperwork the next day (or even the day after).

The problem is that word got out, and quickly. Before we could correct the error there had been a few orders placed. I know some people had done there homework and were looking for a deal, and others really didn't know better.

If you remember (because I'm going to bring it up in my next post), the website did say that the item was currently out of stock, didn't it?

I'm not looking to get more money for something already sent out, but I could not justify losing money on all the orders that hadn't shipped (and wouldn't because it's out of stock).

I will check to make sure that it is working properly. It appears only half the people received the emails.

The website did (and still does) clearly state that the item is out of stock and has for about the last 7-10 days.

I just wanted to make it right. YES it was on back order. But herd good things about the kit so I was willing to wait also did'nt look any farther than you. and also if I need something latter in time I wanted to make sure I was still in good standing. as I purchased something from another componey and after a week I called and found out it was on back-order. so I canceled the order. went to order something else they told me I couldent order from them becouse of canceling order. so of corse I told them to F-off and hung up on them.
