dixiela said:I am new here, and quite old, but wish to express my thoughts on the 10/22 Rugar rifle. Being a gun collector, I have six 10/22's, two with very expensive target barrels, which can, and has lite a farmer match at 60 yards, ofcorse with a very great scope and braced mount sighting. The 10/22 is one very great rifle, and no mater how old it gets, it never wears out. My oldest nearly 20 years old, is as good as the fairly new one all fixed up for target shooting. As for clips, well, plastic ones are not the answer. I use a 10 or 25 shot medal clip, and have never had a jam up yet. Jams are mainly caused by cheap 22 shells, they vary in powder from time to time, and the slugs are never quite always the same. I prefer and use ONLY CC Mini Mags, 50 shots in a clear yellow box. Take it from an old man, the Rugar 10/22 is one of the finest rifles made for target shooting, hunting small game, or plunking around. The only other 22 I would advise or have suggestions about would be a Gold Line Henry, 22 Long rifle or 22 Mag. Dixie Sage
You're a collector and you can't spell Ruger properly? Is that an Internet or a 'bama thing? :shhh:
