Well i made the run to the Rubicon trail on Friday for the 4th of July. Got to the Loon trailhead around 5pm and rode into the slabs right past Gatekeeper and called it a night and man the mosquitos were out in force. Got up Saturday expecting to hear tons of rigs riding in but it did'nt happen. Got back on the trail at 10am and rode into Spider to see roughly 50-65 rigs scattered throughout the area. There was a Pirate initiation planned that day at noon so the box was pretty packed but nothing like i have seen in prior years. The box was crazy Saturday night with people there until 4am and lots of carnage. Sunday morning came fast and we decided to wheel into Buck then head home. I had a great weekend with no seruous issues on the rig besides wallowing out the lca mount on the frame side. also stayed at 35lbs all weekend due to not having air and i will say the new tires did excellent!!! Im very surprised how these tires peformed i would say so far these are as good if not better then most brand name tires out there. Anyway the weekend was fairly slow for such a big weekend so it made for an enjoyable trail ride, no rush or wait and thats a very nice thing. So here are a few pictures from the weekend, hope you enjoy them.

Damn, I hope you paid your photographer for all that hard work! Can't imagine how many times they must have gotten in and out to snap pics for you. Some cool shots in there BTW. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking pic's!! What size are your tires? Looks like thay worked very well.

yes i have pics from the box i will post them up here in a bit. the photographers actualy got like 165 pics of me the whole trail i just posted a couple haha, they both were bitchin about it but i told them if they wanted to come with me thats the name of the game. the tires are 33s and yes they worked flawlessly, i could not have asked for anything better from them.

thanks guy!

35 PSI? Thats got to be a bumpy ride, hows your back?

no complaints here, sure it was bumpy but its to be expected lol. i was goin to air down but everyone i knew was leaving early Sunday and we planned to stay a little later and my Viair system took a dump on me the week prior after pulling it off the Bronco. the plan was to air down for sure though.

Soft tires really smooth out them bumps when moving fast, I don't think my old back would be too happy. Next time you could drop it down to 20 and air back up at the gas station before you hit 50.

Thanks for the photos, stoked to go up to the con with the URF group soon.

ya your right i was thinking of goin down to around 20 but i just kinda played it by ear and figured if it became an issue i would get them down but she faired good as is so i just left them alone. next month were headed up again, im looking forward to seing what the tires will do aired down. ya the URF run up there should be a fun trip, i look forward to the pics.

thanks for checkin out the pics!

I cannot believe you ran the con on 35 psi, that must have been flippen painful on you and the rig. Well that’s impressive none the less that you made it all the way to buck and back at that psi open/open. I tried looking around for you on sat night to let you know I underestimated the amount of meat we brought; we ended up wasting a lot.
It was great up there this year, weather was better without all the smoke we had last year and the water felt great. I’ll post up my pics later.

well i unfortunately don't have any of an xj

I suffered some carnage, a broken rear driveshaft (I carry spares though) a broken headlight and a bent rear main leaf.

So far my buddy and I are about $600 each into this rig including fluid flushes, tires, front and rear axle swap (finished 7 hours before we hit the trailhead) and everything.

Now I need to get the xj going before the vorra race in fallon

Anybody going?
