Rubicon Run July 11-13

Ok, I'm going to fold on this. Soxyfarmer is going to be up there anyhow it sounds like, maybe the few interested could hook up with him?

I think I'll try to drum up more interest for a September run, shakedown for Moab, with less heat and less mosquitos and less housework to do.

I was just up there this weekend weather was great the sun was blazing though. I put sun screen on multiple times a day still got burnt bad most the people up there did. The lake at little sluice is perfect temperature for a swim =]. have fun guys i only came out with 2wd so i wont be making it back up =[.

So,
None of my buddies want to subject their rigs this weekend. I'll have a 2 seater with 3 guys. Glad they don't mind walking a little. We'll be leaving the bay area Friday morn. in the wee hours. Heading in up ice house road and could meet anybody at the trailhead at 9ish? I'll also have my cb an channel ??? Let me know if anybody wants to meet up...

If all goes according to plan, I am going to be heading up there Friday afternoon/morning. I have no idea where I will be camping or anything like that.

So if you see me, stop and say hello.

We just went in from Loon Lake and wheeled to The Little Sleuce Box and Back . Met up with a couple guys from the club at one point. I got a good video of Star Board M climbing Soup Bowl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9CBNJKqYgw The rest of my pics are on PhotoBucket .

We had a good time Wish I would have taken my 01 . This traill up to little sleuce seems very dooable with a 4.5" and 31s . My brothers jeep had little trouble on this part of the trail . I like the fact that this trail has a number of very easy sections mixed in with the harder stuff . Seemed like Fordyce was an endless run of large loose rock . Rich

Finally was able to get online enough to get some pictures up.

Since the NAXJA run fell through I went up with my dad, and a couple of my friends who were planning on being up there at the same time. All in all had a good time.

Nick broke a U joint, another friend broke a ujoint as well. Will ripped a sidewall on an MTR, and broke a valve stem. I broke a window and now have a couple more dents.

I was peer pressured into doing Soup Bowl. Finally made it up after heating up the tires.

I think this is GreatWhiteXJ. No locker in the front posed a problem but a tug with the strap and he made it up the bowl as well.

DAAAAAMN!!! Nick's jeep has more damage than mine!!!

Thanks for sharing the pics man! Sorry I bailed... choices...:banghead:
Its ok, we still had fun without you and Phil. :bawl:

Fosters junk does run, and it did damn well for him finishing it the night before we left. Maiden voyage to the gas station was Wednesday night, and Friday he was wheeling.

Made me look stupid at Soup:banghead:
