Ross's Jeep that will take longer than Rob's to build thread...

Says the guy with 3? 4? 5? jeeps that don't run/drive and aren't being wheeled :moon:

4. How does the amount of Jeeps I have relate to wheeling? Or to Ross being more special with this build than than the last place winner at the Special Olympics? No offense to the special olympics

YOU DON'T RACE JEEPSPEED! YOU DON'T LIVE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE DESERT!

Quit dicking around, and put the damn thing back together already Ross. Its been how long since you picked up the front D60, and you still haven't geared the thing?

:moon:

lol

Mark is just jealous that my jeep is gunna be able to jump over his piles. I plan on the jeep holding up for more then 2 runs without falling apart. I might also wanna do some racing, I gotta make sure Colin doesn't come in last place at Line Mtn.

If its worth building, its worth over building. I would rather see Ross take the time now than him make the first run of the year just to break and hold everyone up on the trail.

i dont plan on tieing into the motor mounts like that, i do plan on an over-the-engine brace thing though. i agree w ken though, you def need to tie over the engine as well or it seems like everything will twist around itself.

I plan on doing a hoop over the valve cover. It'll split at the ends so one leg lands on the bump tower and the other leg above the shock mounts. The front tubework will tie into it to and go out thru the header panel. Therell also be some pieces to the rear of the engine cage to the a pillar bars.

I dislike making tubing flanges. Bump towers are done, motor mount suppports are done. Went over to Colin's (MoparManiac) to bend up the engine hoop, just gotta weld that in. Gunna run a gusset tube from just under the hoop flange and drop it down to the top of where the stock shock bolts in. I realized by removing the throttle body spacer and associated bracket gave me the room I needed to run the hoop over where I wanted it. Still gave me plenty of room around the engine/intake manifold and space for the master cylinder.

Gotta get a radiator in there and get this damn thing running again. By the time its running again, I wanna have the front axle done, then just plump brakes and its moveable.

You can downshift an auto pretty easily, but it's gonna be spraying ATF all over unless you route that line back around as well.

Let me know when the radiator is 100% holding you up.

I can just drain my block and whatnot. I only ever run my engine for like 2-3 minutes at a time to get it in/out of my tent.

I'll sell ya my CSF for $120.
