Roof hole question

When I bought my xj the stock roof rack and trim were removed. I have the holes where the screws went in to hold the rails down and are open to the elements. Do any of you have a suggestion of what I can plug these with? Thanks

I think a stock roof rack would plug them nicely.

Is there still anything you can thread into? If not an appropriate sized sheet metal screw and some sealer.

Weld those holes up, grind down and repaint, never even know they were there, a little more work than screws though
