Sweet... looks like they don't eat up too much clearance either. Nice and tight with the body.
Pretty easy install? About how long did it end up taking you?
Nah, they are about 1/2" below the pinch seam, and they are still higher than my t-case skid (skid row) and crossmember.
Install was ok, basically have to lift them into place and clamp with some vise grips holding the pinch seam and L-channel, get them in the right place (I had to notch the pinch seam in a couple places to clearance the legs) and get everything as close as possible. Not every XJ is the exact same, but all of AJs rails are, so they do not fit like a glove, but are very close....I don't think anyones rails will be perfect (and my pinch seams weren't totally straight). Mark all the holes, take them off, drill unirail holes, pinch seam holes, and spring hanger hole. Put the rails back up and bolt in place...Took me about an hour to mark/drill, and another hour to get them up and on, not bad working by myself with sub-par tools.
Drilling kinda sucked, go slow and use plenty of oil to keep the bits cool...start with smaller starter holes in the unirail holes, will keep the larger bits from wandering.
Oh, and laying in piles of metal shavings is not comfortable, nor is having hot metal shavings fall on your bare legs...
