rock krawler 3 link....reviews

I like my Gen. 2 RK 3-link. Between the 3-link, my JKS track bar, and my JCR 1-ton steering, my front end feels very firm and doesn't even think about death wobble.

themud, I have no input on your issue, I haven't experienced that on this Jeep or my last with this kit.

Deadserious I presume you have over the axle trackbar and knuckle to knuckle steering??? thats what Im about to do to fix the problem I just want to make sure itll fix the problem... and did you have the same setup on both jeeps..

i think the issue with your bump stops may be that so much is on your axles. if you think about it, flexing is quite different from normal, even suspension compression, such as over a speed bump. when your axle flexes, it's angle changes. when you are at full flex, the bump stops are no longer in line with your upper stops, the are angled because the axle is tilted. if you can somehow extend the upper bumpstops and take some off the coil buckets, i think you will find that the are far more likely to line up because the position and orientation of the uppers never changes...

Ya know that occurred to me not to long ago I might try that next anyone else have fun with the bumpstop issues adding uppers instead of more lowers???

I had this kit for over 4 years and never once had any contact issues on my drive shaft. You are probably sitting at about 4" of lift, if you have heavy bumpers, rails and a winch. I don't know if you do, just a guess.

You need more lift, or lower the pinion angle, or put in a low pinion D30. That is the only way you are going to clear the UCA.

y-link is out I just dropped a dime for the rk kit and want to make it work first I think I need to make my bumpstops longer from the upper side...the other thing Im thinking is that I need to change out my trackbar to an over the axle style but dont know how itll work with my currie steering setup, I want to minimize bumpsteer so I can drive it on the street to the trail... keep the ideas coming if I get a chance Ill take pics of the not contacting bumpstops for all to see and pics of the driveshaft contacting as well might take a day or 2...
thanks

as far as lift I have re 4.5 springs and .75 spacers and did the lift measurement the dirty way(eagles way) and got a lift measurement of just under 5.25 inches front and 5inches in the rear that should be more than enough to run the rk kit if its not enough just say so...

Get some pics online of all the arm angles and contact points. My Spidey sense says something is wroooooong?

I agree.. something sounds wrong... take some pics for us... I believe I heard awhile back that someone installed ZJ arms and brackets on their XJ... maybe you got the wrong kit sent out by mistake or something...

I was under mine last night and there no way my UCA could contact the driveshaft yoke even w/ a HP axle and less lift.....

Maybe all you guys with the RK kit could help me as well. I picked up a complete RK 4.5" LA kit for $800, but lost the instructions. The only part left for me to do is put the upper control arm in, but I am not sure where to bolt the upper bracket and I really don't want this sucker out of place. Thanks!

Where did you hear this?

Musta pulled it outta my ass, because I just called and they said they aren't.

I could have sworn to it too, I must have just ordered 2 different parts on the same day from 2 different places.
