Replacing the vent glass for 97 XJ?

Someone used my 4 door XJ for batting practice last night and evidently hit a home run because they took all my stuff inside as parting gifts.

Well, they broke the driver's side passenger door vent window I think it's called. IT's the small permanent window behind the roll down window...NOT the quarter window in the back. Anyway, I am getting a new one shipped up to me and need to know how in the world to replace this window? Anyone done this before?

Well you did not specify front or rear passanger door. Since you say it is a 97 then I only guess you are talking about the rear door because in 97 they did away with the front vent window. It has been awhile since I have done one but I belive you remove the door card then you unbolt the window regultor and window. Remove window. Loosen the track on the back side and move it out.Tip small glass window out and slide it out. It is kind of a PITA. Oh yeah then reverse procedure. If it is a 96 front window then disregaurd and PM me.
