My jeeps tranny lines where rubbing together and now it leaks how i do change the line i am thinking cut the holy park and slip a 3 inch rubber hose on and clamp it. It is in a straight part of the line

Yep, brass couplings...added a gauge. All rubber from this point forward, no more stupid disconnects. No leaks at all since installing.

Nice way to repair and add a gauge! Also the hose must be power steering hose, it has a special core for power steering fluid on the inside, and is rated for 50 PSI IIRC.

FWIW ... It says "transmission cooler" on the hose and I think the pressure rating is higher than that. But since there's no power steering fluid in my tranny...I think I'm good.

:doh:Sorry, that was a typo, it should read transmission , not power steering on the hose!!!

IIRC Power steering hose and O'rings are NO MATCH for Transmission fluid! Good catch.
