Renix TB conversion

Is there a way to convert the 6 wire tps to a 3 wire tps? I want to install a complete HO engine in my 88' cherokee pioneer with the renix engine. And yes I've clicked search but renix this and renix that comes up but nothing on tps. I may be typing the wrong terms in so im sorry if thats the case but any simple info is greatly appreciated. thnx

You want the easy solution? Use your Renix intake manifold with it's matching gasket and install it on your HO motor. Want a big throttle body, even bigger than an HO? Contact www.strokedjeep.com and get a bored TB with 60mm butterfly for $90. Use your TPS. Myself and others have performed this conversion easily with excellent results. Any questions, post 'em up.

Or build an adapter. Sounds harder than it is. Just need some jb weld and some stainless tubing (3/8?) and basic hand tools. Check the bottom of this page for related threads

Is it Hesco that makes the adapter? Theirs is a bit pricey, but nice.

Yes hesco makes it and yes they are pricey. Easy to build out of scrap though

yeah but $550 is a little obsurd...I'd rather swap the mani and do a wire conversion if there was that possibility...if anything getting my renix tb bored out is more worth the power/money ratio.

I match ported my Renix manifold to the Renix gasket and the HO head to the Renix gasket. Used a 60mm bored out TB. Same TPS. Bigger TB than an HO. Works great and the air cleaner tube bolts right up too.

did you notice any loss in low RPM throttle response with the larger throttle bore?

I'm only familiar with "big bore" throttles on carburetor applications, and there is always a trade-off for the larger throttle.

When I was saying adapter I meant adapter to use your tps with the late model throttle body
