Remote control crawlers

ok so im not the only one. i got a venom creeper around christmas. then found out about MOA (motor on axle) and spent 800 on a crawler that climbs like a champ

an XJ RC!! anyone got a picture? That sound pretty sweet.

Checked out the Venom and Axial units......leaning towards the Rockslide RS10. MOA, 4 wheel steer with 4 modes.

Right into rc's here
runnin an emaxx
and 2 axials ax10's both with rear steer and all the goddies
They are very much addictive! I hauled in five truckloads of awesome rock for my in yard course installed halogens in the tree above so its great at night too, could use 5 more truckloads and a rope bridge.

This is my basic AX10. Just the basic axle mounted batteries, dovetailed bed, aftermarket wheels and tires, home made bent links/inboarded mounts, rear 4 link, etc etc.

I would like to buy a new body, and make a new frame, but time and money have been the limiting factors. Maybe this summer.

I have a Losi crawler right now. It's my first RC crawler, had a couple other stadium-type trucks before this. I'd like to get an Axial soon, already ordered the XJ body for it, lol.

What was your eta on the xj body?

My son just got the Redcat Racing Rockslide RS10 Crawler RTR ($159/free shipping) and this rig is pretty amazing. It features MOA and 4 steering modes which you can switch on the fly from front, crab, front/rear, rear and there is a LCD screen on the controller that indicates which mode you're in.

We've run it through 6 battery charges since Friday, which are good for 20-25 minutes, not bad for a 7.2V 1500mah, gonna snag a 3800mah soon.

The unit also came with a 4 LED rocklight pigtail that plugs into an ESC port and puts out a lot of light. We haven't installed the lights yet but it's a nice feature.

I can see the benefit of adding bent lower link arms for additional clearance, but it works pretty well out of the box.

I'm gonna have to score me one also, so we can RC wheel together.....

Finally got my XJ body painted and mounted on my Wheely King, the TJ body I've been running since Jan '08 has just about had it!!!1
