What is wrong with my extended idle?
In summer, in the extended idle mode, the engine temperature goes steadily up, even with the electric fan running. I always chicken
out and disengage it when the temperature reaches 225º, after about 10 minutes.
In winter the temperature settles at about 215-220º, but after
about 20 minutes running, shut down, then restart, the most
severe rough idling, misfiring of the engine occurs that takes more than 90 seconds to slowly normalize to a good idle. No engine light, running fine afterward.
What possibly could cause this behavior?
