Okay,
Since you guys are closer I figured I should ask here.

I'm planning my annual trip up there but, I'm concerned about the mosquito situation.

I've been going up there, every year, since 1987 and there have been times where there were zero mosquitos and other times when the only way to escape them was to cower in your tent or douse yourself with repellent.

There's nothing worse in my opinion......how bad are they or, how bad do you expect them to be this year?

I really don't want to miss out on my annual tradition but, I will if they're out there in force!

Thanks in advance,
Hans

I was working up at Big Creek (just above Shaver) on May 17 and it was snowing. My guess is that they are going to be really bad this year. There is a lot of snow and water up there this year.

Yeah, usually when there's a good snow pack, the mosquitos are usually pretty heavy.
I wonder how long the snow will be up there this year.......that'll determine how long they'll keep the gate to Coyote locked.
Thanks for the heads up!.......I really love it up there.
