I've seen Aiwa has them on their CD players...but I don't necessarily want a CD player.

Looking for a detachable face AM/FM receiver with a line-in jack on the front so I can plug my Nomad Zen MP3 player into it.

What are some good ones, gurus? Am I better off just plugging in a 1/8" stereo jack adapter to the RCA plugs on a simple receiver?

Hoping to keep it ~$100.

Danke.

the Aiwa ones are around $100, what's wrong with having the CD player there also? I have a Jensen, but it's nearly 3 years old now and I don't know if they're out there anymor. I also plug in my Creative Zen player, it's a great way to go.

Call it a quirk, but I *really* DON'T need the CD. I'll settle for cassette... A lot of it involves the demographic in which I live. If I neglect to remove the faceplate, the cheesier it is the less likely it is to be stolen. Right now it's an 'Optimus' from Radio shack that I bought used for $5. It's missing knobs and is a cassette deck. ;) I want the simplest, ugliest thing I can get that still sounds good. :)

Having lived in a few seedy areas myself, I can understand what you're getting at - there's really something to be said for being allowed to shoot someone breaking into your ride...

Cassette Players

CD Players (Just in case...)

Ya just gotta know where to look...

Time of day I wrote this Crutchfield's site was down. Thanks for the input.

I'm actually heading off to Target to see what kind of crappy stereo I can pick up. :D
