Reasons not to move to California.

I agree, but at the speed that our country is going down hill, Europe may be where I am headed sooner than later.

Don't bother - just wait for things here to reach their logical conclusion and you can have the same experience without the inconvenience of moving.

Will you guys in CA just hurry up and break away from the US, float out by Hawaii, and form your own country? :D

Please make sure you take Barbara, Nancy, Sean, Michael, Tim, and Susan with you!!!

All we need to get rid of is the coastal people. That's where most of the crazies are. Comeinland some and things a re a bit less liberal.

you need a reason not to move to comifronia??? how bout the fact you like to breath fresh air? or you like to look at mountains and not at the smog? because green is better then brown(that's a actual fact) besides friends and family can be replaced. because crazy people here are more sane then crazys there

Mountains are right out the door for me, no smog blocking my view. You speak of a narrow sliver of CA.

My house was at 3300 feet not much smog there. Plenty of mountains around it too :D
15 min from the city and 15 min from

The nor-cal has some non liberal areas too but my problem is liberals out weigh the sane in that state. So no matter what you have to put up with their BS laws.

Northern (above San Fran), central and southern (except LA) is okay...there are some good people along the farming areas that I've met.

But that region along the coast from San Fran down to LA...EEEsh!

Although, I do miss Death Valley and Tahoe.

No, California itself is a great place...love the scenery, but some of the laws and people and high living cost...well, just not for me anymore.

Wasn't there some sort of law passed recently in California that you couldn't cuss for a day or week or something like that? I thought I saw it mentioned on CNN briefly...!@#$ that.

Actually it's all the people who moved her from east of the Sierras. Most of my former neighbors in San Francisco could not believe I was a native, very very rare. My daughters are 5th generation San Franciscan. Every single politician w/ exception of one that runs err ruins San Francisco is from some where else.

Please stay away!

Born in Richmond, then Hayward, Los Gatos, Boulder Creek, Scotts Valley.

CA has sucked a big one for decades. Glad I escaped in '85.

I am from Georgia and when I lived in California I saw more idiots riding around with rebel flags on their cars than back home.

They were filming the "Dukes of Hazard" maybe? :roflmao:

Fixed! :D

Well there's your problem. The people who don't know, understand, or care about about those don't have a problem with california. The only reason(besides those listed above) that I don't like california boils down to the people there. California would be a beautiful place,...
If they just packed up about 15 million people(you know the ones I'm talking about)and moved them about 400 miles west,...
All this coming from someone who practically lives in the middle of nowhere. When you leave the city any direction you go is a bunch of sand. Not much to do, and a bunch of aweful drivers.
- I lived there for a few years, too many at that,...
I'd make some remark about being offended, but:
1) Phoenix isn't in the middle of nowhere. Albuquerque, New Mexico is in the middle of nowhere. Phoenix is on the SIDE of nowhere.
2) As for the sand comment, well look at my sig,..
3)There's about as much to do as any other city in the US with 3 or 4 million people, so, yeah, not much.
4) Oh yeah, baby. The drivers here are SCARY bad.

By the way, my comments are not from the outside looking in. I was born in King county, grew up in West Covina, Glendora, and Santa Rosa.

P.S: All joking aside: Nothing to do,... unless you like 4-wheeling and desert racing, camping, shooting, awesome sunsets, star-gazing,.... Lived in Calie, lived here, I'll stay here. One less person taking up space on the coast. So at least I'm not part of the problem.

another good reason is ists to hot in cali during the winter. and to dry

I could post up all my reasons not to move to California but this would end up being the longest thread in history and I would die before I got to the end of it.

North Korea would be a better choice.
