I am taking my axles here tomorrow to have the 456 and OX installed. Has everyone had a good experience here? Work quality, service?

Well dropped off the axles today. Letterman what did they screw up? OX aren't to hard to install. Not as bad as ARB. Let me know.

On the rear axle they did not drill the hole that is needed for the Gear oil to drain back into the dif. not too big a deal, but I found out as my first trip was down to Calico and Stoddard vally, I drove it local for about 2 weeks, help break in the gears, but then on the trip down the oil started to back out the breather tube, back of the jeep was all sticky. I fixed it when I got back, just something you would think they would know to do.

On the Front axle they put the air line too close to the UCA mount, so to get the air line and UCA bolt in I had to shave off part of my UCA and the bolt head with a grinder. TOTAL PITA, should not have been done like this at all. Next they did not use ANY shims on the front pinion gear, so there was NO pre-load at all on the pinion. NONE!!!!

So when the gears went, I drove on it some, I was climbing an under cut, front axle spun back, I droped 3 feet and cought, this spun my short side inner Warn axle.

Much hate for them right now:

I will bring in the gears to see what they have to say, I will keep you posted.

Well got the axles home and went to put the covers on and D44 does not fit. They forgot to clearance the metal tab in the housing. This sucks. Do you think it will be ok if I clearance it. I have the vac running and have the axle stuffed will rags so no metal shaving get in there.

NO! Do NOT fix or cover their screw up. Take it back! You doing anything to that housing will give them a reason to void any warranty when something else in the axle fails.
