rear bumper mounting

first yes I did a search but the serach words are so vauge that I get like 1000 matches..

basicaly I want o know the best way to mount a rear bumper to the unibody so recovery points and a tire carrier wont crack the unibody..any ideas are welcome ..

run it along the frame rails, just like the hitch is attached that way you will for sure have the best mounting poins

Use the 8 stok mounting points. Like red said, use the holes alerady in the frame rail on each side too. Use as many as you can. That is about your only option.

I did the same except I ran the legs under the frame rails. I have a total of 18 bolts holding the bumper on. This includes 6 of the factory bolts. HTH. JIM.
