Got the dust light installed today, it works well. No good pics of it yet, just this one. I'll take some better ones later. Although once the cage goes in this is getting mounted on the cage...

you should make more of a fuss about the night race, i had forgotten =\

having a broke down jeep you wouldnt/shouldnt take farther then del taco sucks balls... but im feeling risky

Nice Jim.
Now if/when we are called into action you won't get rear-ended by a trophy or class 1 or ???
Which light did you go with?
Exactly, I definitely wanted to have it done before the may race for that reason.

The light is just a $25 55w halogen pep boys light. I was considering going LED, but after reading a lot of negative things about not being able to see the LED's, I figured it defeated the purpose, and went halogen. You'll have to let me know how it looks when we're out there!

Will it glare if the window is covered in dust? Don't know what you could do about it if it did.

I got the 35w light which ended up being plenty bright enough. In fact, I need to remember to disconnect it, since it's bright enough that it bugs the guys behind me on the trail even in the daylight.

BTW, when and where is the race?

I had a 35W mounted just like Jim, and the ky is for it to be close to the window.... no more than 4-5 inches... I had no glare issues, even with dust.

The night race is memorial day weekend!

Chase for us and I'll lone ya a radio.Still working on the class 1 deal.Race is May 23rd.

Ahhhh damn man! I'd absolutely love to, but I'm already helping a buddy chase for a 9 car. I'd love to chase for you another time though definitely!

That looks killer Jim!
Did you happen to do a write up on the install/wireing?

Thanks man, I didn't do a write up, but I'll take some pictures later of what I did. I actually used a longer bold with a spacer and bolted it to the hinge bolt. As for wiring, it's just ran over to a switch in my center console, and then to my fuse box. At only 55w I didn't need a relay.

Looks good Jim. The two lights I have in the back of mine are LED cop lights, and are pretty bright. I have no glare back from them at all, and Tony is correct, the closer to the window the less glare even with dust on the window.

We should still meet up at the race.Is the guy that owns the 9 car out of Garden Grove by any chance?

Tom/Travis I'll be out with Jim helping the 9 car.
It's 990 Matt Creveling, Kaveman Motorsports
not sure where he lives

And yes we should meet up at the race
Anyone with Baja in their name is alright in my book
